On the one hand, you're right, Brexit is a sh*tshow, and almost half the UK already knew this and voted against. Scotland and Northern Ireland never wanted it. Neither did the city of Liverpool. There are Brexshit hotspots. People are stupid, aren't they? I mean, 70 MILLION voted for Trump. Unfathomable. But the bit about Britain being a nation reared on lies is just focusing on the right wing media - America has this exact same problem. There are plenty of people, commentators, prominent speakers, who have been against Brexit from the start. We are not force fed lies in the UK, we are not all so stupid as to swallow them, that is an insulting 'observation' to make.
