Extremely detailed analysis, thank you, but I do get frustrated at articles pointing people away from making personal changes, shifting all the blame to systems.... I have no idea how people who call for systemic change expect that to happen, if populations haven't already made that personal journey, that nudge. You don't move in a straight line from eating at McDonalds and driving gas-guzzling cars to demanding the end of capitalism. You get to that place through a realisation of who and what is harming the natural world, taking steps so that you are not part of the problem (no plastic, going vegan etc), then developing the confidence to move up several levels and speak out on the big picture. Nudges are a vital part of the process, we just have to help people move on more quickly.
